Key Media Wins

CEO Todd Ruoff

Head of Research Dr. Chen Feng

TGE

As we continue to work towards our official listing and TGE, there has been significant progress made on our Auto EVM mainnet implementation, we are exploring multiple centralized exchanges as part of our commitment to ensure market access to our community, and we have completed multiple market maker assessments. We continue to monitor macroeconomic market conditions to ensure that our listing is beneficial to all of our community members and long-term investors.

Phase-2 Internal Working Roadmap

As we continue to work towards Mainnet Phase-2, we have defined operational tracks to ensure that our various organizations and departments are working closely to ensure a successful TGE. This includes various swim lanes across the Subspace Foundation, Engineering, Community, Marketing, Product, and Partnerships.

February has been a month of significant progress and collaboration for our network. We’ve established key partnerships with Safe and Phala Network, enhancing our multi-chain security and privacy features. Our Aurora Buildathon and HackSecret 5 events provided platforms for developers to innovate and build upon our network. Engaging with many of you at Consensus Hong Kong and ETHDenver has been invaluable, strengthening our community bonds. It’s inspiring to see users utilizing our Auto SDK and deploying agents using our framework, experiencing firsthand what sets Autonomys apart.

Unlike other networks where growth becomes a liability, our architecture is turning blockchain bloat into an asset, strengthening security as it scales rather than weakening it. With 1,500+ nodes contributing ~600 PB, we’ve created the most inclusive and secure network where anyone can run a node without ever increasing hardware requirements. This creates the perfect foundation for the agentic future, providing a truly permanent audit trail, ensuring that no single entity can rewrite history.

Approaching the commencement of Mainnet Phase-2, we look forward to providing an official update on our strategic plan and anticipate your participation in the forthcoming phase of development.

Introducing Game of Domains

BY
AUTONOMYS

Game of Domains is the final installment of Autonomys’ incentivized staking contest designed to test the robustness of our network’s domain architecture of decoupled execution (DecEx) environments on our Taurus testnet before domains launch as part of Mainnet Phase-2.

What are Domains?

Farmer nodes provide consensus to the network by farming — storing and ordering transaction data. The more space pledged by farmers, the stronger the consensus, and the harder it is for a bad actor to commandeer the chain.

Domains — akin to configurable rollups or appchains — sitting atop this consensus layer, leverage the energy-efficient consensus to ensure consistency when ordering transactions. Operator nodes execute these transactions, securely maintaining the chain state via the staking and slashing of $AI3 tokens ($tAI3 on testnet).

If your project needs its own execution environment with its own token, use a domain to avoid the considerable overhead of bootstrapping a network of validators to secure consensus.

Goals

  • Testing the staking design and workflows at both the protocol and UX level in Astral.
  • Testing our multi-domain infrastructure including deployment and cross-domain messaging.
  • Promote transactions and on-chain activity with a builder outreach program.
  • Stress-test specific aspects of the staking protocol with targeted challenges.

Mechanics

Game of Domains will initially run on a single domain on our Taurus testnet, before additional domains are progressively introduced, and will continue until the Autonomys Labs team has completed all the necessary testing and data collection, and are confident in our domain architecture. Issues are likely to be found and resolved as the games unfold. Operators are responsible for analyzing and following domain transaction activity, which will shift throughout Game of Domains as the Aurora Buildathon progresses.

Stage 0 — Winter is Coming

Operators register, set up and sync their nodes before the incentivized stages, and provide an initial test of Astral’s user experience (UX). MinStake will be 100 $tAI3 (which can be farmed on Taurus). 20% of an operator’s stake is reserved as a storage fee deposit to pay the storage fees for bundles they create when they register. Operators can begin inviting nominators to stake $tAI3 to their nomination pool. The team will verify the functionality of operator uptime monitoring.

If you are an experienced validator on other networks, submit this form to request MinStake. Applications will be evaluated individually.

Stage 1 — A Storm of Stakes

The start block for the contest is announced. Operators should maintain uptime and upgrade to any new releases as quickly as possible. Nominators should stake $tAI3 to the operators they believe will generate them the best return. There is no limit to the number of nominators staking to an operator.

Stage 2 — The Trials of Innovation

Once staking is confirmed to be stable, a series of side-quests designed to test specific aspects of domain performance will be launched for all participants to join. The full list of side-quests will not be released up-front and may evolve. The team will be providing more details closer to the time, but it will likely include:

  • Testing unlimited nominator count to identify any unforeseen limits
  • Testing nominator slashing throughput
  • Testing domain storage fees
  • Testing the staking interface and providing feedback
  • Testing cross-domain messaging (XDM)
  • Testing the security of the Private EVM domain
  • Building out operator & nominator tooling

Close — Epilogue: The Feast of Execution

Once domains have been fully tested and any fixes deployed and retested, the team will close the contest by announcing the final block, before hosting a community call to celebrate the journey we’ve been on, discuss any highlights, and reflect on lessons learned.

Rewards

Game of Domains has 0.3% of the total token supply allocated to it as rewards, distributed as follows:

  • 500,000 $AI3 to active operators who maintain high uptime
  • 500,000 $AI3 to active nominators
  • 1,000,000 $AI3 to builders who deploy applications and generate transactions
  • 1,000,000 $AI3 to adventurers who complete our Trials of Innovation side-quests

For operators and nominators, the goal is to reward breadth of participation rather than depth. Rewards are not proportional to stake, meaning having more $tAI3 does not automatically grant an advantage.

Game of Domains rewards will not be minted directly to wallets. A points system will run during the contest and rewards will be calculated based on effort following the event’s conclusion. There will then be a claim process to receive them. More details on the exact mechanics will be released before Stage 1 and the rules may evolve as testing plays out.

Claim your Verified Taurus Operator and Verified Nominator Discord roles in the wallet sidekick on Astral!

Join the Adventure!

Game of Domains is your chance to become a vital part of the evolution of Autonomys. Whether you’re a seasoned operator, an ambitious nominator, or a daring builder, your contributions will shape the future of decentralized execution on our network. With exciting challenges, evolving gameplay, and substantial rewards, this is the perfect opportunity to prove your skills and make your mark.

Get involved:

  • Operators: Sync your nodes, secure your MinStake and prepare for high-uptime performance and dynamic challenges
  • Nominators: Research and support operators to maximize your returns while contributing to the network’s security
